Ranau is the nearest town as well as a
district in the West Coast Division of
Sabah, east Malaysia on the island of
Borneo. It has an altitude of 1,176 meters
above sea level. Its population was
estimated to be around 70,649 in 2000,
almost entirely ethnic Dusun. From Kota
Kinabalu to Ranau by car will be take one
and a half hour, with the Ranau highway
though Poropok View, National Park "Kinabalu
Park" and Kundasang after to Ranau. To next
going is the Proring Hot Spring, It is on
the highway connecting one of the gateways
to Telupit, Sandakan, Lahad Datu, Kunak,
Sempona and Tawau. |
